Old Town San Dimas, with its Western storefronts along Bonita Avenue and the restored Santa Fe depot, draws the smaller, walkable celebrations: rehearsal dinners, milestone birthdays, and community events with real historic character. Each setting calls for a different rig. Bonelli's open pavilions and lakeside sites take the open-air Classic Booth with a windbreak and its own power, sized for 200-plus-guest reunions. Via Verde Country Club ballrooms and San Dimas Canyon banquets suit the Mirror Booth and Glam Booth, where the editorial-luxury look matches the room. Old Town's intimate restaurants and event spaces run leaner — a single open-air booth against the historic streetscape does the work.
Season shapes the calendar here. San Dimas summers run hot, and Bonelli's exposed sites can hit the mid-90s by afternoon, so we schedule outdoor booths for the later, cooler window and plan shade and power before load-in. The city's Western heritage — Western Days, the equestrian pockets on its rural edges — keeps a casual, community feel to even its largest events, and the booth is built to match: unfussy, fast, and part of the party rather than the center of it.
Bonelli Park is the one to book early. Reservable pavilions and lakeside sites fill for spring-through-fall Saturdays months out, and every setup needs vehicle-gate access and parking coordinated with LA County Parks ahead of the date. Open sites have no house power, so we plan generator or battery power and shade into the quote — and for summer afternoons we push the booth window later to dodge the peak heat.
Old Town street parking fills fast during festivals and Western Days, so we load in early and stage off Bonita Avenue. Via Verde Country Club runs on the club's own event calendar and formal-attire standard, so templates and setup get coordinated with the club coordinator in advance. Foothill and canyon-edge venues add load-in time; we build that into arrival, not the event window.

I retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after a full career — seven years in aviation logistics, then years as a career recruiter. Along the way I earned three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and a Navy Commendation Medal, all for performance. I started The Photo Booth Guy in 2017 because I couldn't find a photo booth operator in Southern California who treated every event the way I'd want my own wedding handled. So I built one.
